Respawn Entertainment released the sequel to its mechanical-exoskeleton-equipped first person shooter game Titanfall 2 on the 28th of October, 2016. The game is now available for purchase on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows (PC).

Ever since its release, the biggest question most PC gamers have been asking is how well the game will run on their system. For you to actually know that, you must first know the requirements to run Titanfall 2 on your PC:

Titanfall 2 system requirements (minimum)

  • OS – Windows 7 64-bit or up
  • CPU – Intel Core i3-3600t or equivalent
  • RAM – 8GB
  • GPU – Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 2GB, AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB

Titanfall 2 system requirements (recommended)

  • OS – Windows 7 64-bit or up
  • CPU – Intel Core i5-6600 or equivalent
  • RAM – 16GB
  • GPU – Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB, AMD Radeon RX 480 8GB

During the time that the specifications were announced, the developers stated that the minimum requirements wouldn’t necessarily mean you have to put all settings to low, but that it would actually provide about 60 frames per second (60fps) experience at “1600×900 resolution with most details turned on”.

After running some tests with the above settings no problem was detected with the frame rate as the game ran smoothly between 40-55 fps throughout the tutorial and the first mission. Although the texture detailing, reflections and shadows were not very impressive, but that is the disadvantage you will have to bear with if your system works within the minimum requirements. That however does not stop it from being playable, and that was all as a result of the developers good work.

Also, Respawn gave a lot of options to improve the gameplay, which is great as long as the your system’s power is able to allow the improvement. The game also gives the players multiple options, especially players that prefer using controllers on their PC, by allowing them to change button layout, sensitivity, response curve, deadzone, and vibration.

In conclusion, Respawn really did a great job with the PC version of the game as the gameplays looks almost the same with its PS4 counterpart, that is as long as you play above the minimum requirements.
