Production of a new season of Warner Brothers animated TV series, Young Justice was announced yesterday during a press statement.
Producers of the animated series Brandon Vietti and Greg Weisman were recalled to continue production, but Warner Bros is yet to release any information about the cast.
When asked about their decision to bring back the animated series, Sam Register, the President of Warner Bros. Animation had this to say:
“The affection that fans have had for Young Justice, and their rallying cry for more episodes, has always resonated with us. We are excited to bring the show back for this loyal fanbase and to provide an opportunity for new viewers to discover this excellent series.”
Young Justice is an animated series that told the story of the DC Universe’s younger heroes, which included the likes of Batman’s sidekick Robin who later went on to become Nightwing as well as his new sidekick Robin, and also the likes of Superboy, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Miss Martian and Artemis. The series also added the presence of most of the major heroes such as Superman, Batman, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow and Red Tornado.
Young Justice aired on Cartoon Network from 2010 to 2013 before it seized production. Although announcement of the premiere date and network was not released during the press statement, we can only hope that the series production doesn’t face a major setback.
