The sequel to the long-running action movie series Mission: Impossible 6 has finally gotten its release date, and is expected to be released during summer in 2018.

According to reports released by Variety, Paramount plans to release Mission: Impossible 6 on the 16th of July, 2018. Which coincidentally happens to also be day DC’s superhero movie Aquaman, gets released into the cinemas.

Production of M:I6 was delayed earlier this year, as star actor of the series Tom Cruise was said to be negotiating the terms of his payment with the studio, which according to Deadline, was as a result ¬†of Paramount’s plan to reduce the budget of the movie’s production, which in turn meant that movie production had to be stopped temporarily. Movie production however, is expected to resume in spring 2017.

Mission: Impossible 6 will be written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie.
